Small business support works better when the people trying to help can see the same picture earlier.

SymbioAxis was shaped by founder Dennis Guy and co-founder Samantha Guy, whose work through First Sip Studios has connected small businesses, government programs, economic development partners, and community support networks for over a decade. Through that work, they have seen a recurring pattern: support may exist, but the information needed to coordinate it is often scattered across people, programs, departments, and systems.

Samantha’s background in social work gives SymbioAxis a grounded understanding of how fragmented systems affect people, families, organizations, and communities. Her master’s-level work in social work, along with more than a decade of experience in service systems, informs SymbioAxis's approach to access, communication, follow-up, trust, and coordination. Her role in First Sip Studios also brings practical expertise in social media, content creation, photography, and storytelling, helping translate complex program work into clear messages, usable content, and community-facing communication.

Dennis brings a background in Biology, National Security and Intelligence, military technical operations, video editing, storytelling, and ecosystem-level strategy. His work as CEO of First Sip Studios, Director of Storytelling for Pittsburgh AI, and through marketing projects with organizations such as Carnegie Robotics has shaped how he thinks about communication, signals, systems, and how information moves between people and organizations.

A major part of Dennis’s study has focused on natural systems and resource allocation mechanisms in biology, particularly common mycorrhizal fungal networks. These systems offer a way to think about how connected nodes exchange signals, respond to changing conditions, and move resources through a larger network. SymbioAxis does not copy biology literally. It uses natural systems as a design lens for understanding business nodes, support gaps, partner activity, shared needs, and coordinated action.

Dennis is also preparing applications for doctoral programs in Biology, with a focus on ecology and evolution. That research direction is separate from SymbioAxis's public-facing work, but it continues to inform the deeper natural-systems thinking behind the platform.

At its core, SymbioAxis reflects a simple belief: communities do not need more scattered activity. They need clearer signals, protected business information, coordinated support, and shared learning that helps partners act with better timing.
